Sporefall

Raid guide · Patch 12.0.7 · Normal / Heroic / Mythic

All raids

Sporefall is a single-boss raid in Harandar (patch 12.0.7). Rotmire floods the room with fungal adds that fixate players. Your job is not to kill the boss fast — it is to kill adds in the right spots, interrupt Sporecaps on Heroic+, and destroy Bursting Shrooms during Fungal Bloom before they explode. Mythic adds Funglings and Doom Shrooms if corpse types mix.

  • Assign two corpse pile spots before pull: one for Shroomlings (usually on the first Sporecap), one for Funglings on Mythic.
  • Heroism on pull — Rotting Pustules ramps later Blooms, so front-loaded damage matters.
  • Everyone should know who interrupts Sporecaps and who is fixated each Awaken Fungi wave.
  • Healers: plan externals for the third Fungal Bloom, not the first.
12.0.7

Rotmire

Rotmire builds energy from Awaken Fungi add waves. At 100 energy he casts Fungal Bloom — a raid-wide hit, knockback, and transformation of every dead add corpse into a Bursting Shroom. If any living add is still up during Bloom, it heals to full and gains Fungal Frenzy (you cannot kick it — that is a wipe).

The fight, in order

  1. 1

    Awaken Fungi

Colored circles spawn — adds appear in those spots.

The moment blue/green circles appear, everyone moves out. Normal = Shroomlings only. Heroic adds Sporecaps. Mythic adds Funglings too. Never stand in the circle when adds spawn.

    Everyone
  2. 2

    Stack & kill adds

Drag fixated adds to one tight pile and cleave them down.

Heroic: tank pulls boss onto the blue Sporecap circle. Fixated players run Shroomlings onto the Sporecap and stack as tight as possible under the boss. Interrupt Poison Burst every cast.

    Damage
  3. 3

    Festering Vines

Big green circle on a player — run it to the wall.

If you have the large green circle, take it to the edge of the room away from the raid and away from your corpse pile. Do not drop vines on the stack spot.

    Everyone
  4. 4

    Fungal Bloom

Boss hits the whole raid, knockback, corpses become shrooms.

All adds must be dead before Bloom finishes. Living adds heal to full and enrage. The moment Bloom starts, swap to Bursting Shrooms — not the boss.

    Everyone
  5. 5

    Bursting Shrooms

Kill shrooms in the pile; defensive for any far explosion.

Cleave down every Bursting Shroom in your corpse clump. Pop a personal or raid CD if a far shroom is about to explode — you will still take damage from it.

    Damage

Do this

  1. When blue/green spawn circles appear, move out before adds spawn — never stand in Awaken Fungi circles.
  2. If a Shroomling fixates you, drag it to the stack spot (under the boss on Normal, on the Sporecap on Heroic) and kill it in a tight pile.
  3. On Heroic: interrupt every Sporecap Poison Burst and cleave Shroomlings on top of the Sporecap.
  4. Before Fungal Bloom finishes: every add must be dead — living adds heal and enrage.
  5. During Fungal Bloom: immediately swap to Bursting Shrooms in the corpse pile and kill them before they explode.
  6. If you have the big green circle (Festering Vines), run it to the edge of the room away from the raid.
  7. Pop a personal or raid defensive when a far Bursting Shroom is about to explode — you will still take damage.

Not this

  • Killing adds scattered around the room — Bursting Shrooms spawn where corpses lie and become impossible to cleave.
  • Letting adds live through Fungal Bloom — they heal to full and gain Fungal Frenzy.
  • Standing in Awaken Fungi spawn circles when adds appear.
  • Missing Sporecap Poison Burst interrupt on Heroic — stacking raid-wide poison.
  • On Mythic: letting a Shroomling corpse land within 10 yards of a Fungling corpse — spawns a Doom Shroom.
On Heroic:
  • Sporecaps spawn — use first Sporecap as stack point, interrupt Poison Burst every time.
  • Stack fixated Shroomlings on the Sporecap as tight as possible, then cleave down.
  • Festering Vines: green circle goes to the wall, not through the pile.

Mechanics

  • Tank
  • Healer
  • Damage
  • Get out
  • Stand here
Leave the circles
  1. Coloured circles appear on the floor.
  2. Move out of them straight away.
  3. Adds spawn where the circles were.

Awaken Fungi

When circles appear, move out immediately. Do not stand where adds will spawn. On Normal only Shroomlings appear; Heroic adds Sporecaps; Mythic adds Funglings too.

Rotmire spawns colored circles on the ground. Adds appear in those spots shortly after.

Everyone
Drag to the pile
  1. Shroomlings fixate a player and chase them.
  2. That player drags them to the stack spot under the boss.
  3. Kill them there in one tight pile.

Shroomlings (fixate)

If fixated, drag your Shroomlings to the stack spot and kill them in a tight pile under the boss (Normal) or on top of the Sporecap (Heroic). Stack as tight as possible — loose corpses spread Bursting Shrooms across the room.

Small mushrooms fixate a random player and chase them. Melee hits are mild — corpse placement is the real danger.

Everyone
Anchor and kick
  1. A Sporecap spawns and stands still.
  2. The tank drags the boss onto it; Shroomlings die there too.
  3. Interrupt every Poison Burst.

Sporecap

Tank drags the boss onto the Sporecap. Fixated players bring Shroomlings to the Sporecap and cleave them on top of it. Assign a dedicated interrupt on Poison Burst every cast.

On Heroic+, a blue circle marks where a Sporecap will spawn. It stands still and casts Poison Burst (raid-wide stacking poison) and Blightshot.

Call it: Use the first Sporecap as your permanent stack anchor for the whole fight.

Everyoneheroic onlymythic only
Run it out
  1. A large green circle appears on one player.
  2. They run it to the edge of the room.
  3. Keep it off the raid and the stack spot.

Festering Vines

If you have the big green circle around you, run it to the edge of the room away from the raid and the add piles. Do not drop it on your stack spot.

A large green circle appears on a player — spreading vines that hurt anyone nearby.

Everyone
Defensive, then swap
  1. At 100 energy Bloom hits the raid and knocks everyone back.
  2. Every add corpse becomes a Bursting Shroom.
  3. Use a defensive and swap to the shrooms at once.

Fungal Bloom

Before Bloom ends, all adds must be dead. The moment Bloom starts, swap to Bursting Shrooms in the corpse pile and cleave them down. Pop defensives — especially for a far shroom you cannot kill fast enough.

At 100 energy: heavy raid damage, 16-second DoT, knockback. Every dead add corpse becomes a Bursting Shroom. Any living add heals to full and gains Fungal Frenzy.

Call it: One shroom exploding is survivable with stack + defensive. Multiple shrooms across the room is a wipe.

Everyone
Cleave the pile
  1. Bursting Shrooms grow on the corpse pile.
  2. Cleave them all down before they explode.
  3. One out of reach? Call a defensive for its blast.

Bursting Shrooms

Kill them in the tight corpse pile with AoE immediately after Bloom starts. If one is out of reach, call for a defensive — you are about to take damage from the explosion.

Spawn on add corpses during Fungal Bloom. If not killed, they explode for heavy raid-wide damage.

DamageHealer
Tank swap
  1. Putrid Fist hits the active tank hard.
  2. The other tank takes the boss after every cast.

Putrid Fist

Tanks swap after every Putrid Fist. Face the boss so fixated players can reach the stack spot.

Tank buster on the active tank — swap after each cast.

Tank
Ramp for later
  1. The debuff stacks on the whole raid all fight.
  2. Each Fungal Bloom hurts more than the last.
  3. Healers save their big cooldowns for the later Blooms.

Rotting Pustules

Play clean early — missed mechanics in the first Bloom make the third Bloom nearly unhealable. Healers ramp cooldowns for later Blooms.

Raid-wide debuff that stacks over the fight and makes each Fungal Bloom hurt more.

Healer

Your job

Tank

  • Drag Rotmire onto each new Sporecap so the raid can stack adds on it.
  • Swap after every Putrid Fist.
  • Pick up any stray adds only if they are about to hit healers — do not scatter the pile.
  • Call when you are moving to the next Sporecap so fixated players can follow.

Healer

  • Pre-shield before Fungal Bloom — the initial hit plus 16s DoT is the spike.
  • Externals on third Bloom when Rotting Pustules stacks are high.
  • Track who is fixated and warn if someone is dragging adds the wrong direction.
  • If a Doom Shroom spawns on Mythic, call for immediate DPS swap.

Damage

  • Kill adds in the assigned pile — never kill early or out of position.
  • Interrupt Sporecap Poison Burst on cooldown (Heroic+).
  • On Bloom: full stop on boss, kill every Bursting Shroom in the pile before they cast.
  • Mythic: help kite Funglings to the far corner — do not cleave them into Shroomlings.
