Feral Druid

Snapshotted bleeds, Tiger's Fury on cooldown, and Berserk with Convoke.

Damage
Gear: Method.ggBuilds: Archon consensus, M+ This Week (+7–+19)Updated 10/29/2026 by Guild guides
Playing

Feral is a melee bleed spec. Rake and Rip carry the damage, and both keep the Tiger's Fury and stealth bonuses they were applied with, so when you refresh them matters. Bloodtalons is gone in Midnight, which leaves a cleaner loop: build with Shred or Swipe, spend at 5 combo points, and line up Berserk, Convoke the Spirits and Feral Frenzy inside Tiger's Fury.

Difficulty
Bleeds snapshot Tiger's Fury and stealth, so when you refresh Rake and Rip matters as much as what you press. Energy pooling, combo-point caps and lining up Berserk with Convoke add to that. Bloodtalons is gone, so the builder order itself is simpler than it used to be.

Builds / Talents

Raid and Mythic+ talents

  • Druid of the ClawRaid and Mythic+About 76% of top Mythic+ Ferals run it, and Maxroll has it ahead on AoE raid fights. Ravage turns some Ferocious Bites into a frontal cleave, and Claw Rampage makes Swipe hit hard during Berserk.
  • WildstalkerRaidMaxroll has it slightly ahead on pure single-target bosses. More of its damage comes from bleeds and Bloodseeker Vines, so it rewards long, steady uptime on one target.

38 of the top 50 Mythic+ players run Druid Of The Claw (4010–4257 rating). Murlok.io

Utility

Interrupts, defensives, and what you bring

Interrupts

  • Skull Bash is a 15 sec charge-in interrupt; take a regular kick in every Mythic+ group.
  • Maim stuns a target that Skull Bash can't reach in time, and the class tree offers Incapacitating Roar or Mighty Bash for packs.

Staying alive

  • Survival Instincts: 50% damage reduction for 6 sec, your answer to the biggest hit.
  • Barkskin: 20% reduction every minute without leaving Cat Form.
  • Free Regrowth from Predatory Swiftness heals between pulls and through damage; Bear Form with Frenzied Regeneration is the emergency option.

Utility

  • Stampeding Roar for group movement and Dash or Tiger Dash for your own.
  • Soothe removes enrages; Remove Corruption clears curses and poisons.
  • Rebirth for combat resurrection.

In Mythic+

  • Carry 4-5 combo points into each pull and open with Primal Wrath.
  • Stop applying Rake above your talent's target cap and on mobs about to die; just Swipe.
  • Use Frantic Frenzy on each pack rather than saving it; it is back in 45 sec.
  • Keep Skull Bash for the casts your group assigned you, and back it up with Maim or a stun.

Mistakes

What do people get wrong?

  1. Clipping a healthy Rip

    Wrong
    1. Rip with 15 sec left
    2. Shred
    Right
    1. Ferocious Bite
    2. Rip once it is in its last 30%

Refreshing early throws away the remaining ticks. Inside the last 30% the leftover duration carries over.

  2. Weaving builders for Bloodtalons

    Wrong
    1. Rake
    2. Shred
    3. Swipe for Bloodtalons
    4. Rip
    Right
    1. Rake
    2. Shred
    3. Shred
    4. Rip at 5 points

Bloodtalons was removed in Midnight. Mixing builders for it now just wastes energy on weaker globals.

  3. Feral Frenzy on high combo points

    Wrong
    1. Shred to 4 points
    2. Feral Frenzy
    Right
    1. Rip or Ferocious Bite at 5
    2. Feral Frenzy at 2 or fewer

Feral Frenzy fills your combo points, so anything already banked is lost.

  4. Spending Sudden Ambush on Rake

    Wrong
    1. Sudden Ambush procs
    2. Rake
    Right
    1. Sudden Ambush procs
    2. Shred (Swipe on packs)

Sudden Ambush no longer snapshots onto Rake. It only buffs the hit, so it belongs on your strongest direct-damage builder.

Playstyle

Is this spec for me?

How it plays

  • Tiger's Fury goes on cooldown: 50 energy and 15% more damage, and bleeds applied during it keep the bonus.
  • Finish at 5 combo points: Rip if it is missing or in its last 30%, otherwise Ferocious Bite with 50+ energy.
  • Refresh Rake in its last 30%, or early only when the new one is stronger. Open with it from Prowl.
  • Feral Frenzy fills your combo points, so use it at 2 or fewer. Frantic Frenzy replaces it in AoE builds.
  • Convoke the Spirits goes inside Berserk and Tiger's Fury, with Rip safely ticking.

Strong at

  • Strong sustained single-target damage from bleeds
  • Bleeds keep ticking through movement
  • Primal Wrath and Frantic Frenzy scale well on packs

Weak at

  • Bleed snapshotting and energy pooling take practice
  • Damage needs time to ramp on each new target
  • Punished by frequent target swaps
