Overview
Blood is the most self-sufficient tank in the game. Rather than reducing damage outright, you take it and heal it back with Death Strike, which scales off what you recently suffered. That makes the spec feel dangerous to new players and extremely safe to experienced ones — the skill is in timing Death Strike after damage rather than before it.
How this spec operates
- Primary resources are Runes and Runic Power — spend runes on
Heart Strike and
Marrowrend, power on
Death Strike.
Bone Shield stacks from
Marrowrend are your baseline mitigation — never let them fall off.
Death Strike heals reactively off recent damage taken — press after hits, not at full health.
Death and Decay buffs
Heart Strike cleave and anchors your area threat.
Vampiric Blood and
Anti-Magic Shell are proactive cooldowns — plan them before spikes, not after.
