Overview
Augmentation is unlike anything else in the game: most of your contribution shows up on other people's damage meters. You buff two chosen allies with Ebon Might, extend their power through Prescience and Breath of Eons, and your value is judged by how much you raise the group rather than by your own numbers. Target selection is the entire skill.
How this spec operates
- Your value is buffing allies, not personal meter —
Ebon Might and
Prescience are the spec. - Keep
Ebon Might active — it is your primary contribution to raid DPS.
Prescience on whoever is about to burst pays more than pressing it on cooldown blindly.
Breath of Eons aligns with group cooldowns — coordinate with your raid team.
Eruption spends Essence and extends
Ebon Might — filler that sustains your buffs.
Strengths & weaknesses
Strengths
Weaknesses
- Raises the whole group's damage — often a net raid gain over a pure damage spec
- Strong utility, including the same battle resurrection and Rescue
- Very valuable in coordinated raid environments
- Your personal damage meter will look low, which takes getting used to
- Needs good communication to buff the right people
- Less valuable in uncoordinated or pick-up groups
