Tempered Potion vs old combat pots — sim thread

Patch 12.1 pushed Tempered Potion as the default combat pot for most specs. Before you buy 200 of the wrong thing:

How to test

1. Export your character on Sim Tools (addon profile is best).
2. Run baseline with current pots.
3. Override consumables in the sim input if needed — or swap pots in-game and re-export.
4. Post both reports here with fight style noted (default Patchwerk ST).

What to include

• Spec, ilvl, key content (M+ vs raid)
• Talent string if comparing builds
• DPS / healing delta and error margin

I'll update the Consumables pinned thread if we find a spec that still wants the old pot — so far most DPS sims favor Tempered for burst alignment.

Don't trust my word — trust your sim. Then trust your mechanic execution more than either.

Reminder: sims are stationary single target by default. If you're Ele Shaman cleaving entire dungeons, your real value won't show in Patchwerk. Use sims for trinket A vs B and stat weights, not for "should I play Ele in keys" — that's tier list + group comp territory.
